How to Use Acne Face Wash to Treat Acne

Our bodies are designed to heal themselves.  Antibodies are rushed to the site of an injury in order to protect us.  When it comes to acne infections and pimples, the same exact principles apply.  When your acne flares up, your body sends white bloods cells to the infections to combat the infection and mend the injured area. This process can lead to acne scarring, leaving you wanting to know how to get rid of acne scars.  Here are some tips:

Different Types of Acne Scars

Not everyone is the same, and therefore some people's skin will scar easier than others.  Those people may be able to get pimples and still have scar free skin due to faster healing.  When examining acne scars, there are two different kinds:  Scars brought on by the forming of more tissue, or scars caused by a loss of skin tissue.

Keloids are a type of acne scar that are formed when the skin no longer has collagen.  This, in turn, causes extra collagen to be produced in order to counter the lack of it.  Another similar type of acne scarring caused by additional tissue forming is hypertrophic scarring.

Depressed Scars - There are various types of depressed acne scars.  Some of the more popular ones are soft scars, macular scars, depressed fibrotic scars, or ice-pick scars.  When acne cysts fill with oil, bacteria, or puss, they will continue to expand until they rupture.  This process attacks the skin around the area.  You body then sends white blood cells to repair the area, causing skin around the cyst to collapse, leaving a scar.

Be careful when choosing which acne scar treatment you want to choose.  be sure to weigh the pros and cons of each type of treatment, and go with the one that is best for you.  Common treatments include dermabraision, micro-dermabrasio, skin surgery, skin grafting, and laser treatments.  On occasion, Keloids will be treated by the injection of mild steroids.

In the daily facial skin care regimen, washing the face is basic. To have a clear face rather than acne, choose the appropriate acne face wash and wash your face regularly. The following tips will help you to your way in achieving a clearer face and skin.
First, select the facial wash that suits you because this is the most essential part in the skin care regimen. In choosing your acne face wash, always look for a non-comedogenic one so it will not block your pores and then lead to acne. And it’s safer to use non-scented facial wash to make sure it won’t cause skin irritation. If your purpose in washing your face is just to stop acne breakouts, better use a facial wash with salicylic acid that helps in preventing bacteria from staying on your skin. Discard any facial wash that results to an oily face and uneasy feeling. You should feel fresh and relax whenever you use your facial wash.
Now, just right before you touch your face on the washing process, wash your hands first with any antibacterial soap. This would ensure that not anything on your hands would go to your face. Then use warm water as you splash it on your face to make it ready for the facial wash. A pea size of the acne face wash is the minimum amount needed in washing your face. Gently apply it while rubbing it on the essential part of your face beginning from the cheeks. In rubbing your face do not over do it for it may result to redness and further skin irritation. Do not scrub! The skin on your face is more sensitive compared to the skin on your body. After half a minute, rinse your face with cold but not freezing cold water. For the finale, pat dry your skin with a clean towel just for your face.
Remember, never use facial wash with beads or other contents that feel coarse when applied on the skin. And most especially avoid loofahs and other things for scrubbing, just like what was mentioned in the previous paragraph, the skin on the face if more sensitive.
Proper face washing does not mean over washing. As you often wash your face, the more natural oil it produce and in turn too much oil lead to acne formation. Just do it at least two times a day. This would finally make your face softer and smoother every time you wash your face.
